Skiffs by Baystealth fill a need for less expensive, shallow running boat that will perform with lesser horsepower motors. The shallowest possible designs are wide flat bottoms. Wide flat bottoms are the easiest to push with lower horsepower motors. They can be less expensive to build and yield a lot of space, but there are challenges:l. Flat bottom boats are not as maneuverable as Vee bottom boats. But our quad pad design allows much better maneuverability than other flat bottom boats, and efficiency is improved as a bonus.2. Flat bottom boats are susceptible to spray, especially bow spray. Our bow entry design is the very best at minimizing bow spray.3. Flat bottom boats can be very difficult to load and keep centered on a trailer. Our skiffs are designed to eliminate this problem. The bow roller friendly bow helps center the boat. Our quad pads entice the boat to find the right spot. And our custom trailers with rear guide pads make driving on a breeze, even in a breeze. Add to this: Our all composite structure with linered floor featuring a brand new non skid design and a molded-in rigging chase that allows a clutter free floor. The chase feeds an aerated livewell forward of the console (which allows a movement of the CG forward and further minimizes draft). This boat includes a Minn Kota 70/24 troll motor, a 2 bank onboard charger, a Lowrance HDS5 fishfinder, a bimini, live well and the trailer.
