"BORN2RUN" is a captain maintained 2009 Hatteras 60C. Powered by twin CAT C-32A's she offers a cruise performance of 33 knots and top end of 40 knots. Both engines have been fully updated and inspected by Caterpillar. A bottom job and engine/gen services were completed at the end of January 2011.
She offers all the upgrades that this caliber of owner will be looking for. The full Pipewelders tower offers all the fishing features you would expect. Outriggers, center rigger, comfortable upper helm with an independent electronics package and stereo, integrated teaser reels, drop down engine gauges, molded in running and spreader lights. She also has the optional second 21.5KW Onan Generator, Eskimo ice and a 900 GPD watermaker on board.
The hull of "BORN2RUN" is painted with a beautiful Fighting Lady Yellow color scheme with blue boot stripe. The super structure is all white except for the black mask that connect's the side windows around the bow and gives the boat a unique look. The mask was factory painted, so special care was given to the material beneath to prevent any heat damage from the black color.
The most distinguishing feature of "BORN2RUN" is the gorgeous teak transom. This was added by the craftsmen at Miller Marine in Panama City, FL. Once the teak was laid, the hull sides were faired around the edges to give it a seamless and factory look. The transom door was re built out of composite materials to lighten up the door to accommodate the weight of the teak. This will prevent future sagging of the door.

"BORN2RUN" is equipped with the latest offerings from Raymarine electronics. The helm is equipped with a flip up console to conseal the electronics when not in use. At the heart of the system is triple G-150 displays. The displays are powered by dual GPM-400's. These stream the radar, charting, fishfinder and weather functions all of the displays. All displays and the VHF radios are mounted to a stainless steel trim ring to give the dash that extra rich look.
Tower has it's own dedicated electronics and stereo package.

AV System
Playing with "BORN2RUN"'s AV system you will notice a few upgrades that the owner has made. First off, is the upgrade to the KVH satellite system. A KVH M7 was added. This is the only dish that can utilize the HD signal provided by Direct TV. It also tracks 3 satellites at the same time, offering the ability to watch local channels, HD channels and standard channels at the same time. This also adds the feature of a DVR to salon TV. To control the Salon system a Universal Remote MX6000 was added. This gives the ability to control the system with a full color and touch screen remote. It also controls the PSX iPod dock that was added. This feature streams across the boats network and allows you to choose your music on the remotes screen. The main AV system for the interior is controlled by the Hatteras AV distribution center. The SAT TV boxes, DVD and Stereo are distributed to all the staterooms. The salon TV is a Panasonic 42" Vierra. The master stateroom TV has been upgraded to a 40" Samsung LED that fits flush to the wall. The 2 other staterooms are 20" Sharp Aquos.
Cockpit
Stepping aboard "BORN2RUN" the first thing that grabs your eye is the teak deck and mezzanine platform. The mezzanine is fully cushioned and conceals all the cockpit freezers, storage compartments and engine room access. The starboard side mezzanine platform houses the box that the Eskimo Ice machine dumps into.
Located in the center of the cockpit is the 130# class Release Marine fighting chair. It is set on a large offset stainless steel pedestal. The backrest of the chair has 4 rocket launchers, bait rigging area, 2 stainless cup holders and tool drawer.
On both sides of the fighting chair, there are 2 split lid fish boxes. The portside box is also plumbed as a secondary livewell if needed. The primary livewell is located in the transom.
The cockpit also has its own dedicated stereo system. If you like your tunes, then this one doesn't disappoint. The Clarion CMD6 is located in the entrance to engine room and has a remote located starboard side of the cockpit. The 900 watt JL Audio amp pushes the 2 sets of 7.7 component speakers and the 10" Subwoofer.
Salon
Using the pneumatic sliding door, you enter the spacious salon of "BORN2RUN". Upon entering you are welcomed by the stylish half moon shaped Amtico flooring. The starboard cherrywood cabinetry houses the 42" Panasonic Plasma TV and an icemaker.
Portside is a large leather sectional couch and the custom Birdseye Maple cocktail table. This table also opens to reveal a large storage area. There is also an abundance of storage beneath the entire couch.
Moving forward you enter the galley and dinette area. The dinette has plenty of room to seat 4 people and offer a granite table top. This same granite is carried over to the countertops in the galley.
All of the cherrywood cabinetry has raised paneling for that added detail.
Galley
Granite countertops adorn the entire galley and granite is carried through the backslashes as well. Below the counter refrigeration is provided by 4 Sub Zero refrigerator drawers and 2 Sub Zero freezer drawers. There is a 4 burner electric stove, Microwave and plenty of storage through the entire galley. Amtico wood flooring covers the entire galley and dinette area.
Master Stateroom
The master stateroom is everything you would expect from Hatteras. Very spacious and well appointed, it offers a full size bed, plenty of closet space and utilizes the distributed entertainment system. Owner chose to upgrade the standard TV to a gorgeous 40" Samsung LED TV. This TV looks fantastic in this room.
The full ensuite master head offers plenty of room for getting cleaned cleaned up after that big fishing trip or simply cleaning up for a night on the town while cruising.
